The Search for the Shropshire Pine Marten: Over thirty years, rumours of this elusive animal persisted in remote areas of south west Shropshire following its eradication in the 19th century. The pine marten, once the second most common carnivore in Britain, has become the second rarest. Join Shropshire Mammal Group on their mission to find and return the most beautiful of Mustelids to our countryside.

The talk will start at 10.30pm and will last for approx. 1 hour with the opportunity for questions afterwards. Hot drinks will be served free of charge at the start of the talk.

Our café and visitor centre will also be open so why not browse our wonderful selection of wildlife products or treat yourself to a tasty snack/refreshment while you’re here!
