Shropshire Rivers Hub Conference is an opportunity for land managers, water managers, experts and amateur enthusiasts to come together to network and explore the big issues affecting Shropshire’s rivers and waterways.
Shropshire has over 3,846 miles of watercourse which includes a superb section of the UK’s longest river, the Severn. There is an increasing need to restore our watercourses to provide clean water, wildlife rich places and more for our future wellbeing, much has been achieved via a myriad of projects and organisations working both as part of Catchment Partnerships and under their own steam.
Sponsored by WM Longreach, Shropshire Middle Severn CaBA and CPRE Shropshire, this year’s focus topics are restoring natural processes and landscape scale restoration.
Speakers will include representatives from industry, eNGO’s, hydrogeologists, land managers and farm initiatives.
If you are interested in speaking about a project or bringing a stand to showcase your work or business please email Sarah Mackness sarahm@shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk
